Celebrate the Phabulous Phantom, the World's Leading Distributor of MiG Parts!
Robin Olds was a triple ace with 17+ kills. He shot down 12 German planes in WWII and 4 MiGs in Vietnam. As the commander of the 8th Fighter Wing, "Wolf Pack", he championed "Operation Bolo" where the Wolf Pack lured the Vietnam Air Forces MiG-21's into a trap by disguising their F-4's as F-104 Thuds. Operation Bolo resulted in the loss of half the MiG21's in the Vietnamese Air Force.
The left hand side of the mug features Robin Olds flashing his famous finger at at the final mission celebration at the Ubon Officers Club, Thailand in 1967. The left side also features his F-4C Phantom II, SCAT XXVII, and a photo of his men carrying him on their shoulders as they went to the o-club party.
Opposite the handle features a front and top view of the Phantom with the Phantom Mascot, Spooky.
The right hand side of mug shows how the Phabulous Phantom is put together. The top image is the exterior view, the middle image is the frames, and the bottom image is the cutaway with all the components such as the fuel cells, wing cross section, GE J79 Turbofan engine, and the crew.
