Robin Olds was a triple ace with 17+ kills. He shot down 12 German planes in WWII and 4 MiGs in Vietnam. As the commander of the 8th Fighter Wing, "Wolf Pack", he championed "Operation Bolo" where the Wolf Pack lured the Vietnam Air Forces MiG-21's into a trap by disguising their F-4's as F-104 Thuds. Operation Bolo resulted in the loss of half the MiG21's in the Vietnamese Air Force.
The left hand side of the mug features Robin Olds from WWII and the Vietnam War. The left side also features his F-4C Phantom II, SCAT XXVII, and his P-51 Mustang, SCAT VII.
Opposite the handle features a front and top view of the Phantom and a front and topview of the Mustang.
The right hand side of mug shows is a comparison of the P-51 Mustang to the F-4C Phantom.
